About the role
CNC Machinist III are highly skilled professionals responsible for advanced machining operations, mentoring others, and contributing to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires leadership, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Expertly operate and troubleshoot HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines across various part families.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in safety, quality, and SOP compliance.
- Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex machining or process issues.
- Champion 6S workplace practices and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root-cause analysis in collaboration with engineers and team leaders when technical issues arise.
- Mentor and train junior machinists, supporting skill development and team knowledge transfer.
- Recommend process optimizations and support pilot runs or new setups as needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of CNC machining experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and CNC programming basics.
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, setups, and precision adjustments.
- Strong communication skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration.
