Job Details
- Set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machines running Fanuc and Siemens controls to produce high-quality, low-volume metal, composite, and graphite parts for aerospace production.
- Select and mount appropriate tooling.
- Determine feeds and speeds, and perform cut-off, trimming, countersinking, and drilling operations.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings, applying shop math for accurate machining.
- Transfer program files from computer to CNC controllers and monitor operations, adjusting as needed.
- Verify dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; inspect finished parts and maintain production and inspection logs.
Looking for:
- 5+ years CNC machining experience with a 3- and 5-axis focus.
- Hands-on experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong blueprint reading, shop math, and precision inspection skills.
- A willingness to comply with union rules and regulations.
- Experience in any of the following areas welcomed:
- Machining of composite and graphite parts.
- Aerospace or other tight-tolerance production environments.
- GD&T and precision inspection.
- Routine machine maintenance and setup optimization.
