CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

About the role

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Machinist to join our team. This position offers opportunities for craftsmanship, precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a supportive and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines to produce precision components
• Inspect own work using precision measuring tools
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve problems and support continuous improvement efforts
• Work with blueprints and GD&T requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two-year technical degree preferred
• Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machining equipment
• Strong knowledge of machine tooling, fixtures, machining processes, blueprint reading, and GD&T
• Basic familiarity with machine programming features and ERP systems
• Strong math skills, communication skills, and a dependable, safety-focused mindset

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a two-year technical degree preferred. Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machining equipment is required, along with strong knowledge of machine tooling, fixtures, machining processes, blueprint reading, and GD&T.

Pay

Competitive pay ranging from $25.00 – $39.36 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential - based upon skill and experience

Schedule

• Mon–Fri, 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (5 days x 8 hrs)
• Mon-Thurs 3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. (4 days x 10 hrs)
