CNC Machine Operator (1148768)

About the role

Location: Forks, PA.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including mills and lathes
• Edit programs, adjust offsets, and perform conversational and G-code programming as needed
• Develop and optimize machine setups for new and existing jobs
• Perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make real-time production adjustments
• Design and build fixtures and tooling to improve efficiency
• Manage workload effectively while machines are operating
• Maintain tooling, including sharpening and preventative maintenance
• Complete production and job documentation within ERP systems
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Mentor and support junior machinists
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Participate in continuous improvement and team communication initiatives

Requirements

• 7+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong CNC machining experience along with manual mill and lathe operation
• Ability to independently set up jobs from start to finish
• Working knowledge of G-code and conversational programming
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, inspection gauges
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Solid math and basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Qualifications

• Haas CNC machine experience
• Program editing and light CNC programming experience
• Mastercam experience
• Fixture design and tooling development experience
• Experience mentoring junior machinists

Pay

Salary range: $62,000.00 – $75,000.00 USD annually. Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.

Schedule

Monday through Friday schedule.
