About the role

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, problem-solving, preventive maintenance, service, and repair of machine tools. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive approach, and a hands-on mindset. The Technician must understand machine maintenance requirements and adapt to competing priorities while supporting a broad range of machine tools in a fast-paced environment. The goal is to support on-time delivery of quality products while contributing to continuous improvement and organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving of CNC machine tools.
  • Conduct high-quality, efficient, and timely machine/tooling installation, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure high quality and adherence to safety procedures in all work performed.
  • Train and instruct internal team members on proper installation, service, and repair procedures for equipment and processes.
  • Accurately document actions, findings, and parts required for service and repairs.
  • Consult with team members, internal departments, and external service providers to resolve machine tool issues.
  • Continuously review and recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Communicate progress on installation, service, and repairs to stakeholders and vendors.
  • Develop skills through education, seminars, internal training, or external resources.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machine tools and work areas.
  • Assist with and perform other job functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or certification in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC Machine Tools.
  • 2–3 years of related work experience in CNC machine tool troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
  • Experience with Matsuura, Okuma, Fanuc, DMG, and/or Makino is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and understanding technical documents such as blueprints and manuals.
  • Deep technical and practical knowledge of CNC Machine Tools.
  • Ability to lead projects, drive cross-functional accountability, and deliver results.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and patience to shepherd ideas from concept to execution.
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on problem-solving in unknown situations.
  • Experience building relationships across teams to identify and close reliability or process gaps.
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and similar tools.

Qualifications

  • Continuous bending, stooping, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds (greater than 50 pounds with assistance).
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident, or qualifying Political Asylee/Refugee) due to access to controlled production processes.
