CNC Lathe Setup Operator - 1st Shift

About the role

This is a straight first shift position — Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm — with no mandatory overtime. Voluntary overtime available if you want the extra money, weekdays and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, and turning centers
• Produce precision pump components to close tolerances
• Work a variety of parts and setups — no two days exactly the same
• Read and interpret engineering prints including GD&T
• Use precision measurement instruments — micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance
• Maintain quality and safety standards
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements

• 3–5 years of machining experience
• Able to perform difficult setups and run machines independently
• Comfortable reading engineering prints with GD&T
• Skilled with precision measuring instruments
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade or technical certification a plus
