Responsibilities

Join Our Team as an Advanced Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist where your skills will be utilized to manufacture power generation equipment and their subassemblies. Emphasis is placed on ability to adhere to all safety requirements, follow engineering drawings (blueprints) and interpret and execute manufacturing processes per specific work instructions and validate your work utilizing electronic quality control documentation.

Average day includes:

  • Perform precise and complex setups, utilizing various types of specialized fixtures
  • Collaborate with your technical support team on how related processes can be further improved
  • Share knowledge, resolve issues, and add your own learnings and experiences to the knowledge base of the team

The qualified candidate can be hired for various CNC machinist positions focused on either the operation of CNC Lathes, Vertical Mills and/or Horizontal Mills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Ability to adhere to all safety requirements
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) required
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience required with proficiency in at least one of the following: Lathe, Vertical Mill, and/or Horizontal Mill
  • Proficiency in performing machine setups, tool selection, program offsets, G-codes, M-codes, troubleshooting, metrology, and blueprint reading
  • Strong knowledge of shop mathematics and the ability to interpret drawings (blueprints), written specifications, charts, and utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Qualifications

  • Physical Demand: Moderate, with some periodic heavier lifting required less than 50lbs
  • Ability to work with either written, oral, or graphic instructions
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required to perform work duties
  • Achievement of the Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate at Silver Status required
