CNC Milling/Turning Machinist (2nd Shift)

Your Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC multi-axis Milling/Turning machine preferred.
  • Experience setting up and changing over jobs on CNC equipment.
  • Exceptional mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues.

Your Challenge

  • Able to run 3, 4 and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines.
  • Willing to run multiple machines simultaneously where possible/feasible as most machines are part of manufacturing cells/machining centers.
  • Ability to work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium and Stainless Steel.
  • Proficient in mathematics and able to use a calculator.
  • Ability to use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the program.
  • Ability to load part onto a fixture.
  • Ability to load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machine.
  • Ability to read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine.
  • Ability to read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Familiarity with operation of Right-Angle Heads.
  • Possess Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing knowledge.
  • Possess the ability to work within tight tolerances such as thousandths.

Education Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
