About the role
We are seeking a Machinist skilled in operating horizontal multi-axis lathes for turning, boring, facing, and threading operations.
Responsibilities
- Review blueprints and QC documents to determine machine settings
- Select and install tooling as per job specifications
- Mount workpieces manually or with equipment
- Monitor control panels to ensure accurate machining
- Adjust coolant flow and inspect parts for quality
- Organize materials for efficient changeovers
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain a clean workspace
- Train new employees and maintain safety standards
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience with gear cutting, hobbing, and lathe equipment
- Proficiency with manufacturing software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Interpersonal skills, physical stamina, and dexterity
Work environment
The role involves standing most of the time, with exposure to mechanical parts and airborne particles.
