CNC Bridge Mill/Gantry Mill Machinist (SNK RB-4 or RB-6)

About the role

As a CNC Bridge Mill / Gantry Mill Machinist at Trident Maritime Systems – Heavy Equipment Group in Rhinelander, WI, you will perform setup, adjust, and machining of large complex weldments on a SNK RB-4 and/or RB-6 with a high degree of accuracy. You will work on various sizes and dimensions up to 25 ft, meet routed hours with a focus on quality, and modify or create programs to meet company and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up intricate parts and fixturing.
• Work from advanced drawings and job layouts.
• Machine intermediate to advanced parts with a high level of quality using materials such as Stainless Steel, Aluminum, exotic, and high-temperature alloys.
• Ensure all parts are produced efficiently within print/contract details.
• Operate overhead cranes and perform rigging.
• Set up tooling using machine setup documentation.
• Use drawings, specifications, and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain equipment and a safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Multi-axis machining background, including tool path verification and collision analysis.
• Machining experience in the manufacturing industry is required.
• Fanuc CNC experience strongly desired.
• Experience working with materials such as Stainless Steel, Aluminum, exotic, and high-temperature alloys is a plus.
• Experience working with large complex weldments (up to 90’) is preferred.
• Experience setting up quality gauging.
