CNC Operator Gantry Mill Machinist

About the role

The CNC Operator/Gantry Mill Machinist is responsible for operating CNC gantry mills to produce precise metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC gantry mills to cut, shape, and finish metal components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to ensure accuracy and quality
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related experience in CNC machining or similar field
• Knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience with gantry mill machines

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
