About The Job
The MIDB is dedicated to fostering the healthy brain function of children across the lifespan with the mission to set and maintain a healthy trajectory for all children toward positive life outcomes through early neurobehavioral and mental health assessment, innovative targeted interventions, informed policy-making, compassionate child-advocacy, and community education.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with electrophysiologic, biometric, and psychometric testing of developmental populations across multiple projects with varying protocols, timelines, and stakeholder groups.
- Acquire form and survey data for projects.
- Maintain study records, databases and accurate data entry.
- Clock longitudinal participant scheduling.
- Participate in study team meetings and ongoing protocol trainings.
- Prepare materials for research sessions.
- Provide administrative support for the research center and other research initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS plus 2 years of related work experience or a combination of education and experience to equal 6 years.
- Experience working with children and/or infants.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team of researchers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain records, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks across projects in a fast-paced, multi-study environment.
- Excellent critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule - some study visits may require early morning, evening, or weekend work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Social sciences or biological/health sciences awareness.
- Experience with acquisition of electrophysiological (EEG, ERP) data.
- Experience administering behavioral and cognitive assessments (e.g., WISC-5, NIH Toolbox, MEFS).
- Experience with data management systems (e.g., REDCap).
- Working knowledge of regulations associated with human-participants research.
- Technical/computer science coursework.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting technology resources.
- Fluency in Spanish.
