About the role
The Zhang Lab focuses on fundamental mechanisms of brain development with the aim of diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. Current research areas include neuron types in the cerebral cortex, RNA splicing, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Responsibilities
- Performs experiments and collects and analyzes data.
- Participates in the promotion of a research project.
- Prepares and writes grant applications and reports, and co-authors/authors scientific research manuscripts.
- Collaborates on the development of new research projects with academic and community-based organizations.
- Presents work at scientific meetings.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Requirements
- PhD in related field.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
- Experience in molecular biology and computational biology.

- Knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
- Knowledge of research techniques or methods.
- Knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures.
