About the Facility

The Rehab and Nursing Center – Leffingwell is designed with healing in mind, offering 80 private rooms each equipped with an accessible bathroom, comfortable guest seating, a large screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and scenic nature views. The center specializes in post-acute rehabilitation for patients with neuro rehab needs, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, heart failure, spinal cord injuries, and joint replacements.

A dedicated interdisciplinary team, including physical, occupational, recreation, and speech therapists, creates customized therapy programs using the latest technology and techniques to maximize independence and mobility, preparing patients for a return home.

About the Role

Acts as a team member in delivering quality, direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to the healthcare team. Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with unit policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care for assigned residents/patients, including dressing, bathing, transporting, and feeding
• Document care provided as directed, following established guidelines

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
• CRT-Nursing Assistant certification from the Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems (within 90 days of hire)
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 90 days of hire)
