CNA (Veterans Center) - 6a-6:30p, Full-Time, Sign-on Bonus, $17.97-$22.91 per hour (Shift diff $3.00-$5.00)

About the role

We provide exceptional care to veterans at Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Responsibilities

• Promotes the mission, vision and values of SPRHC.
• Supports residents/patients to be as independent as possible.
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.
• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Ensures residents/patients are ready, clean and well-groomed and on time for special tasks, such as visits, physician appointments, etc.
• Ensures that any resident/patient change of condition is reported promptly to the licensed nursing professional.
• Affords assistance with admitting and discharging patients/resident, including inventory of all possessions, etc.
• Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures and regulations.
• Completes daily and purposeful rounding that ensures patient/resident environment is clean and free of hazards.
• Affords assistance with cleaning and organizing patient’s/resident’s room and property to ensure all patient/resident needs are being met.
• Protects SPRHC’s value by keeping patient information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure.
• Performs other functions as required to fulfill the expectations of the CNA.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Certification with accredited training course through the State of Colorado for Certified Nurse Assistant.
• Previous work experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of relevant nursing care.
• Friendly and professional bedside manner.
• Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.97-$22.91 per hour based on experience and qualifications (eligible for shift differentials).

Schedule

• Weekday Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $3.00 per hour
• Weekend Days - Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - $3.50 per hour
• Weekend Nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $5.00 per hour
