Responsibilities

  • Answers call lights to determine residents’ or clients’ needs (Communities and Day Care only).
  • Assists residents, clients, or members with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as: Bathing; Eating; which includes set-up, serving and collecting food plates and utensils, Feeding residents who require assistance; Dressing; Oral hygiene; and Grooming as needed.
  • Assists residents, clients, or members to turn, reposition, and transfer, which may be performed by the CNA without assistance, with a two person assistance, or by using a lift machine in accordance with the care plan.
  • Transports residents, clients, or members with ambulation to and from their room to appropriate areas for activities and meals.
  • Takes and records the resident’s, clients and/or members: ADLs Vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight, and respiration rates) Intake and output of food and fluid Transfers (one or two person) and ambulation status Mood/behaviors when resistant to care Pain level assessment (if applicable)
  • Issues supplies as needed.
  • Provides companion services according to care plan.
  • Observes and reports to Licensed Staff all changes in condition (including significant changes), behavior or whereabouts that may require intervention.
  • Maintains a close liaison with residents, clients, members’, and families.
  • Attends mandatory in-service programs.
  • Complies with annual employee health screening in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Participates and assists during emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook and/or the AHHS disaster policy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Nurse Aide.
  • Current State of Hawaii Certified Nurse Aide certificate.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using a computer, which may include using such software as Vision or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and other applicable software applications.

$21.50 to $27.00 Hourly
