CNA-Restorative Aide - Iowa Veterans Home

Duties

• Administers nursing interventions focused on achieving and maintaining optimal level of functioning, per the resident's restorative plan of care.
• Assists residents with their therapeutic treatment plan, including application and/or removal of supportive and assistive devices to resident's extremities; walk to dine; dressing programs; cold packs; hot packs; overhead pulleys; wall pulleys; range of motion activities; restorators; stationary bicycle; massage chair; standing and walking using assistive devices such as canes and walkers.
• Assists residents with dining.
• Reports any changes in resident condition or response to restorative plan of care to Primary Nurse or Nurse Supervisor.
• Completes computerized documentation of resident's attendance and participation.
• Participates in RCC meetings for their assigned units.

• No specific education or experience is required.
