Responsibilities
- Provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Afford assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Preserve a clean and organized living environment for residents.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and independence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Caring and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Brief understanding of patient care techniques and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
