Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Nurse Apprentice to join the Telemetry floor team. This progressive care unit serves patients aged 16 to 100+ with cardiac conditions, non-hemorrhagic stroke, or rapid responses from other hospital departments, averaging 650 patients monthly.
About the role
You will support clinical staff by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination duties. Additionally, you will provide nursing care and related non-professional services to ensure patient comfort and personal needs under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Schedule
- Part-time: 2 shifts of 12 hours per week
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, varied days
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination at the unit level
- Provide nursing care and non-professional services to meet patient needs and comfort
- Demonstrate competency in caring for all assigned age groups (neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric)
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification issued by the State of Idaho OR
- Current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR
- Completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network (unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk)
- Six months of CNA experience in an acute care setting preferred
