CNA/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice - Telemetry (Days)
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Nurse Apprentice to join the Telemetry floor team. This progressive care unit serves patients aged 16 to 100+ with cardiac conditions, non-hemorrhagic stroke, or rapid responses, averaging 650 patients monthly.
About the role
You will support clinical staff by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination duties. Additionally, you will provide nursing care and related non-professional services under the supervision of a licensed nurse, focusing on patient comfort and personal needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical and receptionist duties at the unit level.
- Coordinate patient services.
- Provide nursing care and non-professional services under the direction of a licensed nurse.
- Assist with the personal needs and comfort of patients, adhering to CNA/UAP standards.
- Demonstrate competency in caring for all assigned age groups (neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network (required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk).
- Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Schedule
- Part-time: 2 shifts of 12 hours per week.
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, varied days.
