POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS
St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice to join their dedicated nursing team. This position is based on the Telemetry floor at the Regional Medical Center, located off I-184 and Curtis Rd. The Telemetry department serves a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac conditions, non-hemorrhagic stroke conditions, or rapid responses from other hospital departments. This unique unit operates as a progressive care unit, serving approximately 650 patients monthly. Typical schedules consist of working three 12-hour shifts.
Description
The Boise Telemetry department provides care in a fast-paced environment that often attracts candidates aiming to advance their careers. The schedule includes working from 7:00am to 7:30pm, with varied days and two 12-hour shifts per week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support clinical staff by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination tasks.
- Perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary for patient care, under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program required.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
- Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).
