CNA/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice NICU (Days)
About the role
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a CNA/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice to join their nursing team. This position works on the Neonatal ICU floor at their Regional Medical Center, located off I-184 and Curtis Rd. The NICU is a 32-bed unit with 2 transition rooms, providing 24-hour comprehensive specialty care for preemies and the sickest of full-term infants.
Shift
The shift is a 3-week rotation, 7am-7:30pm, with a varied schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
What You Will Do
- Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination tasks.
- Perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients, under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR complete the Trinity Nurse Assistant Program (TNAP).
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network required at hire.
- Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
