CNA LTC - Full Time Evening

About the Role

Join our team as a Full Time Evening CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant at GSS MN Battle Lake Ctr in Battle Lake, MN. We are a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of experience providing housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN)
• Delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan
• Assists with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
• Obtains and records vital signs, and provides psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
• Assists residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct techniques and equipment
• Provides range of motion and passive exercises
• Assists with food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents
• Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
• Communicates residents' changing conditions and care-related concerns to the charge nurse
• Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with maintaining clean living areas
• Assists with wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
• Minimum age of 16
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire
• CNA training and certification provided by the facility
• Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually)
• Maintains all department-specific required certifications

Pay

$19.00 - $25.50 per hour, depending on experience. $7,500 sign-on bonus!

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Evening shift: 2:15pm to 10:45pm. Rotating weekends and holidays. Additional shift differentials for overnights, weekends, and holidays.
