About the role
Rite of Passage Team is hiring a CNA Instructor at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona. The position involves classroom instruction, skills lab training, and clinical supervision using an Arizona State Board of Nursing–approved CNA curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom instruction, skills lab training, and clinical supervision using an Arizona State Board of Nursing–approved CNA curriculum
- Teach and reinforce essential nurse assistant knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors
- Serve as a mentor to students, supervising them in clinical settings to ensure safe, ethical, and competent care delivery
- Prepare students for successful completion of the Arizona Nurse Assistant certification exam
- Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, competencies, and student performance
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with program leadership and campus staff as needed
- Adhere to all Rite of Passage policies, clinical site requirements, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or a valid compact RN license with multistate privilege recognized in Arizona
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience providing direct patient care
- At least one (1) year of nursing experience in a long-term care or nursing home setting
- Eligibility to serve as a Nurse Assistant Instructor under Arizona State Board of Nursing regulations
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, or ability to obtain prior to employment
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching or training adult learners
- Experience working with youth in educational, residential settings
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
