CNA, Hospice, Per diem

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Nurses Aide, CNA for a per-diem opportunity to complete hospice visits to clients located throughout Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

Responsibilities

• Activities of daily living
• Light housekeeping
• Bathing
• Grooming
• Toileting
• Nail care
• Ranges of motion / exercises
• Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices
• Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
• Oral feeding
• Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.
• Assisting with ambulation
• Meditation assistance

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of work experience
• Must be listed on the PA Aide Registry, active and in good standing
• Demonstrate an ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
• Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination
• Meet all state requirements

Qualifications

• Must have access to reliable transportation

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks
• Knowledge of vital signs and range of motion exercises
• Experience with medication administration
