CNA – Hospice IPU – Days

JourneyCare Hospice is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for our Inpatient Unit in Barrington, IL. This is a full-time, day-shift role with a consistent, predictable schedule.

Pay and Schedule

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Includes every other weekend and 3 holidays per year
• Location: Barrington, IL
• Pay Range: $19-$26/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to hospice patients in the inpatient unit
• Assist with bathing, grooming, oral care, and linen changes
• Ensure patient comfort and safety, including proper use of equipment
• Observe and report patient condition and any changes to the RN
• Document care provided in accordance with policies and standards
• Support patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and compassion

Requirements

• Current CNA certification in the state of Illinois
• Active listing on the state nurse aide registry with a clear record
• Current CPR certification
• At least 18 years of age (or as required by state law)
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle or reliable transportation preferred
