CNA Hospice House - 24 hours/week - Days

About the role

Tidewell Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a CNA to work at their Hospice House in Sarasota. The schedule is 8a-8p on Mondays and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care).
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior of a patient and/or patient/family interaction to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License (optional, only if colleague chooses driving herself/himself as mode of transportation when reassigned to work at another facility).
• One to Three Years of training and/or experience required.
• One year of experience in a long term care facility strongly preferred.

• Must be able to drive to work location.
