About the role
Hospice of Florida is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. You will work closely with our nursing team, ensuring each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care following the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients.
- Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
- Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing.
- Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
- Impact patients' families by sharing your knowledge and expertise, guiding and supporting them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
- Maintain accurate documentation to deliver high-quality care in compliance with patient's home and agency standards.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
- Must hold a current unencumbered certificate in the state as a C.N.A.
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting is required.
- Hospice experience is preferred.
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification if state-mandated.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation are required.
