CNA - Home Health Assistant
About the role
Ecumen Home Care-Lakeshore is hiring a Home Health Assistant for part-time or full-time daytime shifts from 8am-4:30pm on weekdays, excluding weekends and holidays. We offer excellent benefits including PTO/Sick time, mileage reimbursement, and a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provides personal care to clients according to their individualized care plans.
- Promotes independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills.
- Observes, documents, and reports any changes in clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional conditions.
- Communicates with clients and/or family members as appropriate.
- Participates in care conferences with other health team members as needed.
- Prepares meals as directed and follows special meal plans if instructed.
- May provide light housekeeping and laundry services as directed by the care plan.
- Responds appropriately to safety hazards, fires, and other emergencies.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Licensure/Certification Required: Certified Nursing Assistant and satisfactory completion of the HHA component.
- Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance (if applicable).
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Compliance with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the facility, including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, MSDS.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or higher preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors is a plus.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.

Pay
The targeted pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay, including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.
Schedule
Daytime shifts from 8am-4:30pm on weekdays, excluding weekends and holidays.
