CNA - Full-Time

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct in-home patient care, supporting clients with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility, and basic nursing tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
• Supporting transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to promote safety and independence.
• Providing prescribed exercises and basic nursing care as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offering companionship and engaging clients in activities tailored to their interests.
• Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records of care provided.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
• Using EVV systems to document tasks and ensure compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Maintaining current certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
• Compassionate attitude toward patient care.

Requirements

• Dependability in reporting to assigned duties and adaptability to various client and family environments.
• Adherence to the care plan, with no medication administration.
• Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs and travel within a specified area.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality, privacy, and safety, including reporting concerns or abuse.
