About the role
Hospice of Marion County, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA Field to work in Ocala. The schedule is 4 days per week, 10am-8pm with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Deliver physical care to patients, including bathing, changing linens, feeding, assisting with ambulation and transfers, and supporting range-of-motion exercises and positioning.
- Reinforce dressings as needed and adhere to infection control procedures and Standard Precautions against Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Perform light housekeeping duties in patient areas, including laundry, trash disposal, meal preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, disinfecting equipment, and replenishing supplies.
- Collaborate with other Hospice team members to educate primary caregivers and families regarding physical care, disease processes, and emotional support for patients.
Requirements
- Experience: Six months of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care skilled nursing facility preferred. A letter of recommendation from an instructor may be requested for candidates with no prior job experience.
- Licensure: Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License). Valid Florida State Driver’s License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.
