Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care and promote patient comfort
- Assist with triage, admissions, and discharges
- Support complex procedures and trauma admissions
- Perform tasks like EKGs, catheterization, blood draws, and CPR compressions
- Document all care and observations in EMR systems
- Maintain and prep treatment areas and supplies
- Observe and support patients in restraints or constant observation
- Collect, label, and transport lab specimens
- Fulfill departmental clerical duties and use hospital paging/phone systems
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/equivalent preferred; Nursing Assistant Program completion required
- Experience: One year on a medical/surgical or similar unit preferred
- Certification: Maryland Nursing Assistant certification + Current BLS (CPR)
- Physical & Mental Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50+ lbs), and high attention to detail in fast-paced clinical situations
