CNA Direct Care Associate
About the role
The North Dakota State Hospital is seeking dedicated CNA/Direct Care Associates to join our team. We are hiring for full-time, part-time, and temporary positions with various shifts available. Temporary positions are part-time and ongoing.
Responsibilities
- Connect with North Dakota State Hospital clients to complete daily living activities with the goal of increasing their ability to be independent.
- Aid in daily living activities such as personal hygiene tasks and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Model effective communication and socialization interactions, and teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies.
- Observe and monitor individuals' condition, documenting and reporting any changes in well-being.
- Aid individuals in identifying their goals for recovery, learning, and practicing new skills, and what is important for them.
Requirements
- No experience required; on-site training provided.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience providing direct care to special populations is preferred.
Qualifications
- CNA certification for full-time and part-time employees.
- Temporary positions require current CNA certification.

Pay
- Starting pay rate: $20.00 per hour for current licensed CNAs (full-time only); $18.00 per hour for non-certified.

The North Dakota State Hospital (NDSH), located in Jamestown, is a specialized psychiatric hospital that serves the whole state. Services focus on psychiatric rehabilitation, residential substance use disorders treatment, and residential treatment for sexually dangerous individuals.
