CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (PRN/Weekends)

About the role

Evergreen is seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dedicated care team. The CNA will provide direct, hands-on care to our residents, ensuring they receive the highest level of comfort and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rate.
• Assist with repositioning and transferring residents to ensure their comfort and prevent complications.
• Monitor and document changes in residents' condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring that rooms, common areas, and equipment are properly sanitized.
• Assist residents with incontinence care and other hygiene needs.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
• Assist with feeding residents and ensuring proper nutrition.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
• Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Active and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Oregon.
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient with residents.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of infection control procedures and safety practices.
• Ability to lift and move residents (with assistance as needed).
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to perform job tasks.
• May require handling occasional heavy lifting.

Pay

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule

PRN/Weekends, some Full-time
