About the role
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. They have full access to patient health information and may have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances).
Responsibilities
- Assists with unit/patient care needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
- Has full access to patient health information.
- May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.
Requirements
- A high school graduate or equivalent required unless a current high school student participating in the CATS program for the NCCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
