CNA Certified Nursing Assistant
About the role
Experience Alabama CNA Certification Long term care, skilled nursing and/or long-term care experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to supervising staff
- Administer medications as directed by a physician or nurse
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Ensure patient rooms are clean and comfortable
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from a state-approved program
- Current CPR certification
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and ability to handle stressful situations
- Flexibility to work various shifts including 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts
