(CNA) Certified Nurse's Aide Trainee
The Commons on St. Anthony offers a FREE CNA Training Program in Auburn, including paid clinical training starting on Week 3, all course materials, exam fees, certification costs, and a guaranteed CNA position upon successful certification. Part-time and full-time positions are available for Days, Evenings, and Nights, with additional pay differentials for evenings, nights, and overtime after an 8-hour shift.
About the role
Once certified, the Certified Nurse’s Aide performs direct and indirect care to promote the comfort, safety, convalescence, and rehabilitation of residents as directed by the Clinical Team. No prior experience as an Aide/Caregiver is required—just a passion for caring for others. The Commons also offers PayActiv, allowing employees to receive an advance on wages already earned.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse age group of residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, transferring, bed mobility, ambulation, feeding, toileting, and positioning.
- Distribute and assist with snacks and nourishment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to personalize and enhance the patient experience.
- Respond to and anticipate the needs of patients’ family members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (verifiable).
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
- Ability to report changes in resident’s condition and other pertinent information.
- Ability to take and record information and basic records.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software rapidly.
