CNA Advanced Care at Home

As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for the care of our patients according to their individual plans, unit routines, and hospital policies. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
• Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
• Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
• Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
• Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
• Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
• CRT-Nursing Assistant - Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems (upon hire)
• LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan (upon hire)
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (excluding Hospice, required for Hanson Hospice Center) within 90 days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross within 90 days

Schedule

• Shift: Day (United States of America)
• Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40
• Hours of Work: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Days Worked: Monday to Friday
• Weekend Frequency: Variable weekends
