CNA Adult Cardiac ICU
Overview
The Adult Heart Unit at OSF HealthCare is unique, offering both Stepdown and ICU services. It caters to a variety of cardiac conditions including heart transplants, open heart procedures, STEMI, unstable angina, N-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, targeted temperature management, advanced heart failure, TAVRs, ablations, watchmen procedure, mitral clip, micras, TEVARs, and any cardiac-related events requiring ICU and Stepdown care. The unit also supports various medical devices such as IABPs, Impellas, Swan Ganz, ECMO, external pacemakers, CRRT, LVADs.
Expected Pay
The expected pay range for this position is $18.98 - $22.34 per hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Shift Differentials
Weekend Shift Differential: $1.75/hour
Sign-On Bonus
SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE! $2,000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment. Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.
Position Summary
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients, including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observing patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary based on department expectations and needs.
Qualifications
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients
