About the role
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Inspector in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. This position is ideal for someone interested in a fast-paced consulting environment, comfortable with some travel, and capable of working collaboratively as part of a team. As part of the Certerra/Insight Group family, you will work on a variety of projects with opportunities for growth and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Field and laboratory testing of construction materials
- Maintain required certifications
- Coordinate with clients and Certerra/Insight Group engineering and professional staff
- Travel to client facilities as needed
- Report writing and computer skills, including clear documentation of findings and results
- Perform basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and other personnel as directed
- Assist higher-level technicians on complex tasks
- Maintain assigned equipment and related calibration
- Follow safety rules and practices for all projects
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- Educational or professional background in construction inspection services
- Experience evaluating soils, concrete, and asphalt as they relate to site construction
- ACI Certifications (Preferred)
- Experience in airfield pavement construction or landfill construction quality control/assurance is a plus
