CMT Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials in line with TxDOT, ASTM, and AASHTO standards
• Inspect roadway, bridge, and site development work to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Document testing and inspection results using digital reporting systems
• Review plans, specifications, and testing requirements to support accurate execution
• Communicate results, observations, and issues clearly with project teams and clients
• Maintain equipment, calibration records, and follow all safety practices on-site
• Assist with project scheduling and coordination of field personnel

Requirements

• Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Level 1A, TxDOT Level 1B, ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I certifications
• High school diploma or GED (a technical or related degree is a plus)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction materials testing or inspection
• Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel to project sites regularly
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
• Knowledge of TxDOT specifications and testing procedures preferred

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually
