CMT Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Obtain samples/specimens of concrete, soils, aggregates, asphalt from work sites.
• Perform laboratory tests on the samples collected, following work and testing procedures.
• Communicate/report lab test results to all.
• Enter test results data into computer.
• Maintain lab testing equipment: cleaning, repairs, calibration, setup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED or 2 years material testing (field or lab).
• Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to lift samples, at times up to 75+ pounds.
• Pass drug and background screening tests.

Skills

• Familiar with ASTM, FDOT and AASHTO testing standards.
• Familiar and participate in lab accreditation & Audits.
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
