CMT - Finance Transformation Senior Manager

About the role

We partner with Finance executives to drive value across the enterprise. As Finance leaders move into business partner roles, we help them modernize finance functions by setting vision, strategy, goals, and key outcomes. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data and insights to create compelling change narratives and drive shareholder value. The role involves solving complex CFO problems, overseeing digital transformations, and identifying modern technology and data solutions to improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal and external teams to set vision, strategy, goals, and key outcomes for finance modernization.
• Provide the CFO with data and insights to drive shareholder value and create a compelling change narrative.
• Understand client challenges and apply leading practices to solve complex business problems.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Advisor for Accenture projects and proposals in your area of expertise.
• Manage engagement risk, project economics, deliverable content, and ensure client buy-in.
• Encourage innovation from team members and support their ideas and career goals.
• Create strategies and blueprints using advanced operating models, processes, and emerging technologies to redefine how work gets done.
• Oversee clients' digital transformations, identifying needed skillsets, data, operating models, process automation, analytics, workflows, and enabling technology (e.g., FinTech apps, AI/ML/GenAI).
• Find modern technology and data solutions for clients and share best practices across the industry.
• Participate in business development activities to help grow the practice.
• Stay on top of current trends, technologies, and regulations influencing digital finance, analytics, and the CFO ecosystem.
• Drive incremental sales by leading and assembling teams to respond to proposals.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of finance and/or accounting with management consulting experience.
• Significant engagement management as well as business, practice, and people development experience.
• Demonstrated curiosity for understanding a client's industry and business, translating that into tailored finance and enterprise solutions.
• Intellectual curiosity about emerging technologies and their impact on Finance employees and stakeholders.
• Experience designing finance, accounting, planning, forecasting, reporting, data, and analytic operating models across talent, process, data, and technology.
• Solid understanding of the Finance function, operating models, organization structures, process best practices, and interdependencies with non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to clearly communicate with clients, document requirements, and articulate value propositions and business cases.
• Proven ability to lead solutioning and problem-solving workshops with clients.
• Experience interfacing effectively with senior-level (C-suite) clients individually and as part of an engagement team.
• Strong experience in one of the following industries: Banking, Insurance, Consumer Goods & Retail, Energy, Health, High-Tech Industrial, or Utilities.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant Finance transformation experience across multiple Finance function areas.
• Experience with or knowledge of Finance technology and data solutions across accounting, tax, treasury, planning, and reporting & analytics.
• Familiarity with emerging and modern technologies (e.g., Gen AI) and the ability to explain them simply to CFOs.
• Comfort with ERP technology and knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Workday, and their interdependencies within the finance and enterprise technology landscape.
• MBA or another advanced degree.

Pay

Compensation varies by location, role, skill set, and experience. Below are the annual salary ranges for this role in select U.S. locations:

• California: $132,500 to $338,300
• Cleveland: $122,700 to $270,600
• Colorado: $132,500 to $292,200
• District of Columbia: $141,100 to $311,200
• Illinois: $122,700 to $292,200
• Maine: $112,900 to $249,000
• Maryland: $132,500 to $292,200
• Massachusetts: $132,500 to $311,200
• Minnesota: $132,500 to $292,200
• New York: $122,700 to $338,300
• New Jersey: $141,100 to $338,300
• Virginia: $122,700 to $311,200
• Washington: $141,100 to $311,200
