CMT Field Technician IV

About the role
We're looking for a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team on a high-profile project just outside of Columbus, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise, contribute to a meaningful project, and work alongside a team dedicated to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Supervisory Staff.
- Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making.
- Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.
- Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.
- Performs field quality control tests of reinforcing steel and reinforced concrete construction.
- Performs field density testing on soil, asphalt and other construction materials.
- Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary.
- Follows Atlas’ safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
- Ability to follow Atlas' QC plan and SOPs.
- Works 10 to 12 hours per day, including nights and weekends when required.
Requirements
- ICC Reinforced Concrete or Soils certification REQUIRED.
- 5 years of experience in construction material testing REQUIRED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs., stoop, bend, and stand throughout the workday in varying weather conditions and terrain.
- Must be willing to travel near the reporting office and surrounding areas as required by assignments.

Pay
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly rate. The expected salary range is displayed in accordance with state law. Final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
