CMT Field Technician 1

Core Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing on masonry and concrete and other construction materials in accordance with training and specified procedures.
• Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
• Perform laboratory tests on concrete and CMU when required to support project objectives.
• Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings, and follow operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Work collaboratively with managers and other staff to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Clean, calibrate, maintain, and store testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and adhere to related calibration and storage.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required, associate's degree preferred, no bachelor's degree required.
• One year minimum experience preferred but not required.
• Driver's License upon hire required.
• Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication skills.

Pay

The expected salary range for the position is $25 - $30 hourly rate. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
