About the Role
Atlas is seeking a CMT Field Technician to join our Tampa, FL team. As a nationwide leader in civil engineering, materials testing, and geotechnical consulting, we support environmental, industrial, and infrastructure construction projects. Responsibilities
- Perform construction materials testing and inspection, including soils sampling and testing, concrete sampling and testing, masonry sampling and testing, asphalt testing, and reinforcing steel inspection.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members while representing Atlas in a professional manner.
- Accurately prepare field reports in accordance with Atlas reporting standards and applicable codes.
- Document testing and inspection activities and maintain detailed project records.
- Travel throughout the state of Florida to support project needs.
- Stay out of town as required to complete project assignments and meet client schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience working in the construction industry.
Qualifications
- ACI Concrete Sampling Technician I certification preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Nuclear Soil Density Testing preferred, but not required.
- Additional CTQP certifications in soils, concrete, and asphalt are preferred.

Pay
Compensation: $20.00 - $20.00 hourly rate. The expected salary range is displayed in accordance with state law. Final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
