onsemi is seeking a CMP Equipment Engineer at our Hopewell Junction, NY site.

About the role

The 300mm CMP Equipment Engineer is responsible for sustaining, improving, and optimizing the performance of Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) equipment in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maximizing tool availability, reducing equipment-related defects, improving process stability, driving cost reduction initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve CMP equipment performance to ensure high tool availability and reliability.
• Reduce equipment-related defects and improve process stability in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through equipment optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Analyze equipment data to identify trends and opportunities for performance enhancement.
