Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain calibrated equipment in accordance with acceptable industry standards (ANSI/ASME).
- Perform calibration process.
- Keep accurate, clear, and concise records and reports.
- Write programs from Customer Prints and Models that allow for completing quality checks on CMM equipment for given part numbers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming all software (PC-DMIS, Zeiss, Renishaw).
- Design and procure fixtures needed to hold products for inspection during product development; set criteria for instruments and specifications.
- Trouble-shoot programs as necessary to ensure accuracy of part testing.
- Conduct Capability Studies on new products as part of the PPAP process.
- Take critical measurements using gauges, fixtures and other measurement tools.
- Analyze problems, make decisions, and take necessary actions to get the job done.
- Interpret inspection results.
- Maintain a clean work area ensuring strict adherence to the 5S Standards.
- Maintain safe and accurate equipment operations. Use tools correctly and efficiently insuring quality workmanship.
- Be familiar with Quality Management System requirements and follow procedures as applicable.
- Absorb drawings per customer/internal requirements in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from production associates to senior leaders.
- Ability to function as a team player, and be comfortable leading without authority.
- Ability to build credibility and trust.
- Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Minitab statistical analysis software.
- Ability to interact with suppliers.
