CMM Operator
General Description
Lead on all CMM Programming activities for the CMM Machines utilizing Calypso Software & Romer Arm equipped with Verisurf Software. Responsible for programs that will be utilized by other CMM operators & inspectors. Operator will be responsible to perform inspection verifications on machined parts, components, assemblies, materials, etc. May include but not limited to: First Article inspection; in-process inspection; post-Processing inspection; Assembly inspection for workmanship & conformance to specification/drawings. (As required)
Utilization of hand inspection equipment but not limited to micrometers, gauge blocks, indicators, height gauges, profilometers & CMM’s. Approves or rejects items and documents inspection results as required. Communicates with applicable personnel as required to resolve inspection, engineering & manufacturing opportunities. Interfaces with Quality Manager or Senior management for troubleshooting and outside technical support for CMM & CMM Software, as required.

Work Experience
- A minimum 2 years of experience utilizing Calypso, PC-DMIS and/or Verisurf operating software.
- Preferred, not required: Must be familiar with MS Office with the ability to prepare simple spreadsheets, presentations & word documents.
- The ability to write effectively to clearly communicate to customers, suppliers, coworkers & upper management as required.
- Functional Understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T & Blueprint reading.
- This position also involves the ability to mentor other members, through on-the-job training and personal example.
- The ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve current production processes & implement improvement steps.
