About the role

The CME Refrigeration Technician is a key member of the Corporate Marketing Equipment team and provides all aspects of repair and refurbishment of refrigerated and non-refrigerated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assesses safety within a job situation and requests assistance if needed.
• Maintains requirements of EPA when dealing with refrigeration and topics governed by that agency.
• Performs internal repairs on vending machines, visa coolers, and refrigeration units.
• Uses hand tools, OHM meter, refrigeration recovery equipment, and other tools to repair assigned machines.
• Assumes various positions such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, overhead and bended reach, and standing for long periods of time to perform repairs.
• Utilizes electronic tablet for inputting and completing work orders in Maintenance Connection.
• May work weekends and/or overtime if needed to meet customer demand.
• Attends and/or participates in all scheduled meetings as directed.
• Completes training assignments in Canvas and other directed programs for further education.
• Completes other activities/duties as assigned.
• Exhibits a high level of ethical and moral conduct while representing Buffalo Rock Company.
• Ensures reasonable precautions are taken to protect the Company from damages, theft, or liabilities, and to protect the safety of employees, customers, and property.
• Honors and follows through on all business commitments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
• Basic training in refrigeration/reclaiming/recycling and knowledge of different refrigeration characteristics; required.
• Previous mechanical experience; preferred.
• Must pass the ME entry-level test at 80% or higher.
• Must be able to read and document daily activity on necessary forms.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, internal workings, and reclaiming refrigeration standards.
• Must know how to read and use refrigeration gauges.
• Able to obtain EPA Refrigeration Certification.

Work environment

Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.
